Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will take place across several countries including: The United States, France, Germany, England, and Russia. The single player campaign is expected to wrap-up the current story line of Soap McTavish. Modern Warfare 2 ended with Makarov on the run, and there is a Russian invasion in the US. IGN says that the campaign will have 15 levels and we can expect to be in Paris, Dubai, and New York.
Elite Subscription Plan
Elite service is a new feature that is being added to Modern Warfare. This service will track all of your call of duty stats from game to game, and it is going to include your stats from Black Ops and supposedly other call of duty games as well. There are four main features of the service: Career, Connect, Compete, and Improve.
Career is essentially what I mentioned above which is a match by match analysis and includes stats from every Call of Duty game that supports the Elite Service.
Connect allows fore specific match making and groups. You can create a group and join any group you would like. Private clans are also being supported.
Compete will be a tab where you can see all upcoming events from Activision where you can win prizes.
Improve will feature tutorials on all the weapons and maps, and how to improve with perks and killstreaks.
Spec Ops: This co-op mode will have some improved features such as online support with leaderboards, perks, and player customization.
Survival Mode: Nothing yet has been revealed about this mode, but we can expect it to be similar to that of Gears of War 2’s Horde Mode.
Activision has been very tight lipped about multiplayers and hasn’t even released a teaser trailer for multiplayer. However, officials have said a few things about multiplayer. There will be an even more extensive character customization, new kill streaks none of which will be carried over from Black Ops, team perks, and a rumored 20 multiplayer levels however we don’t know if this includes map packs that will be released later.
Why we are Excited There is Even a Modern Warfare 3
After the firing of Infinity Ward’s chiefs, Vince Zambella and Jason West, it seemed unlikely that Modern Warfare 3 would be ready by it’s regular November release. With the regular release date drawing closer without any sign of life it seemed like Activision was holding the game for a release later than November. Luckily, Infinity Ward is currently being helped by both Sledgehammer and Raven studios to finish the game. Infinity Ward is the creator behind both Modern Warfare 1 and 2, and has brought the Call of Duty franchise much of it’s success.
